REFLECTION

As a reflection, i think our group did really well. We kind of pushed each other's buttons a bit but i think that's expected with many people that work together under pressure.

I think savi and dexter could have tried better to show up or atleast contact us. in the end, ben had to tell dexter not to show up for the run through cos there was no point since he didn't know what to do, really.
but, oh well.

It all worked out in the end and the lecturers seemed to enjoy the game =)
I feel SO bad. I cam to uni like literally 2 mins into my groups presentation =(
But I was watching them present and they did an amazing job.
We rushed to finish all the paper work in time but it got done =) YAY

We have the presentation this coming tuesday and I think it will go really well.
All this uni work though is really stressing cos it's one of like 4 assignments.

Hopefully tuesday will go as planned

Run Through

O.m.g.
The run through was nerve-wrecking!! I chose the WRONG day to wear a big bright red jacket!! I was meant to be taking photos of the player's moves and sending it to their phones to  make them feel watched but I was running all over the place. We didn't really think through communication cos I didn't know where they were going exactly when so I was trying to run after the players and run away from them at the same time.
Also, we didn't end up sending the photos to the players on time cos it took well over 3 minutes to even receive a photo through the phones.
All in all, the players said it was fun. I just think we could have practiced more.

Ok after MANY frustrations with the storyline, we have decided the main theme of the storyline is conspiracy.
The players will feel as though they are being watched constantly, by having someone sending the players photos of their last move. I will be that someone.

We have also decided to make the Uruwera incident the main plot in the storyline, but twist the facts and give it a bit of a different ending. I am SO HAPPY that we finally figured this out!!!!!!!

It was extra hard because I feel like Savi and Dexter barely even showed up for this whole assignment, which put extra pressure on us 4 because we should have had 6 people, instead we had 5.

Tomorrow is the run-through...NERVOUS

MOVE MOVE MOVE

I feel like our group is a bit behind on coming up with a main storyline because we have come up with SO many ideas but keep disagreeing. At this point, I thought we were going to be doing something involving mystery and being watched but now it's getting complicated.
Because different group members show up on different days, I kind of feel like I'm a part of 2 different groups and each group has a different idea to the other...

We have decided to make mystery and being watched a main part of our game.

Ok so far we are looking into making the players feel as though they are being watched every where they go, sort of like Orson Welle's book '1984', where everyone is being watched by Big Brother 24/7.
That would keep the players on high alert about each action and move they make.
But we can't figure out exactly what we want the target to be =S

Mental?

My group and I have decided to go off on our own and just come up with a few ideas and come back to the studio and try merge the ideas we all like.

I like the idea of putting the lecturers through a warped sense of mental reality.
Sort of like Girl, Interrupted?

The players would be surrounded by people that they either could or could not trust to achieve a certain goal. To me, it sort of plays on reality too because usually people have to make that decision of trusting certain people or not, the difference is that while playing this game, they would have to make the decision of trusting certain people much quicker and that way they quickly come to realize that this affects the outcome of the game.
