The Operation was a success!!

My almost finished designs!!

I say almost because I may or may not try to dye the wood an olden styled brown, however, that all depends on if this kind of wood will allow it, basically.

Initially, I had thought of designing something more along the lines of... http://www.balikreasi.com/catalog/catidx/menu-4.1/cls2-4.25/offset-0/index.htm Until I had thought of the idea of a cd packaging opening diagonally and decided to stick with an idea which was less complicated because I was worried that i would not have been able to create 5 cd packages had my design been any more complicated.

Making my design. WHAT a dilemma.

How am I supposed to know if the metal hings will superglue to the wood without falling off?
Luckily after experimenting with materials, I've decided on a light wood, similar to plywood.
I will also be using metal hinges and superglue them to the wood base since my wood is too thin to nail the hinges to.

Ok after playing around a bit with my designs and talking to the lecturer, I've decided on a staircase design which opens diagonally. I'm excited to make this, but also quite nervous because if it doesn't turn out right, that's be annoying. i have my mind set on this design.

I'm going to use wood to make the stairs because it's either wood or concrete and I have no idea how I'd make a model of stairs with concrete =S

YOUTHEDESIGNER

Our most recent project is to design and make a cd packaging in relation to our final audio project.
I think the hardest part of this project, for me, is to make 5 cd packages because I've never been able to fully replicate any of my original designs very well. I guess that could be a positive thing, in case anything good comes out of my mistakes.

My last audio project was mainly based and located on the staircases so I want to incorporate that quite obviously into my design.
